Boeing loses board member Bryson to White House

View All of Today’s News Headlines Boeing Co. said on Tuesday that John E. Bryson had resigned from its board, after being nominated to be Secretary of Commerce.

Bryson had offered to resign on June 3, three days after being nominated. Boeing’s board accepted the resignation on Monday.

This is the second time this year that Boeing has lost a director to President Barack Obama’s administration. Obama named William M. Daley as his chief of staff in January. Daley had been a Boeing director since 2006. Daley led the search to fill the commerce post.

Boeing also said it had also amended its bylaws to shrink its board by one seat, to 11 directors.
