Lakewood Ranch’s Roper Industries says profit up 50%

The Lakewood Ranch-based company — which makes industrial high-tech tools, scientific imaging equipment and software, energy systems and radio frequency devices — reported a profit of $106.3 million, or $1.08 a share.
